Hello people!

I have constant problems with my network card (Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter).
The Wi-Fi connection keeps disconnecting. The Bluetooth module works unstable, sometimes the sound is distorted or even disappears. I use wireless headphones. At a distance of 3-5 meters, with direct visibility, the Bluetooth connection starts to cause problems. Often the problems occur even when I am in front of the laptop. The more time passes, the more frequently the problem manifests itself. In the previous version of Windows 11, the wireless module caused the operating system to crash.
I tried different versions of drivers, configurations, etc. - nothing helps. I decided to replace the wireless module. I contacted 2 authorized service centers, they said that they can only guarantee compatibility if I purchase an identical module. I don't want to hear about Realtek anymore. I would prefer an Intel one like AX 211, but I don't know which module will be 100% compatible.
Can someone help me with a model that will be 100% compatible with my laptop model?

Hi:

You should be able to upgrade to the Intel AX200 card listed in chapter 3 of the service manual:

Maintenance and Service Guide

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 + Bluetooth 5 (non-vPro)    HP part # L35282-002

I believe that you can also use  L35282-005

Have you updated the RTL8822CE Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP currently has?

2024.10.230.2

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp157001-157500/sp157102.exe

This one is newer than what appears on your notebook's support page.

Hello,

many thanks for quick and complex answer.

I use ”HP Support Assistant” and did not see this update - installed right now sp157102.

I will try to use this driver, but my priority is to replace wireless adapter - the Bluetooth connection has been problematic since purchasing the laptop. Nowadays, problems with the Wi-Fi connection have also appeared.

Anyway, I'll get back to you in 1-2 days with a message to let you know how the Wi-Fi connection is working. I'll ask the service center to bring me a L35282-002 adapter. If they accept and bring it, I'll post the result here. Thanks again!

You're very welcome.

Below is the link to the latest Bluetooth driver for the RTL8822CE if this is not the version your notebook has an older version installed.

1.10.1072.3000

sp155460.exe

Hello Paul!

I already had the latest version of the Bluetooth device installed.
In addition to updating the drivers for the Wi-Fi adapter, I adjusted the "Roaming Aggressiveness" parameter from "Highest" to "Medium" (I changed it a few months ago trying to solve the Bluetooth issue).
Today I used the network intensively, including downloading intensively from the Internet, and I did not notice any disconnections.
I guess the Wi-Fi problem can be considered solved.
The problem with the Bluetooth connection persists, and I think it is a native defect of the Realtek device.
Thanks again!

Regards,

George
