I am missing sound and the Realtek Sound Driver and my computer wont update with the latest WIndows 10 1909 update.

There are dozens of generations with hundreds of models/products called HP Envy machines. What is yours ? Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.


(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,


       https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp97001-97500/sp97080.exe

 

(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

 

If no luck, please post back what is the model/product of your machine using

         

             https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108


Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).
