Recovery Media for dv8000t

Hi, Does anybody happen to have any recovery media for an HP dv8000t? I own two of them and I’m trying to restore them back to factory settings but Computer Surgeons are no longer selling the HP recovery media and Archive.org had AMD models of the recovery software and I have the Intel model. The COA on the laptop is windows xp pro! I looked on partsurfer that the part number 419025-001 is compatible with the dv5000t, dv8200t and a I believe the dv5100 so if you have any similar recovery media if you believe that might work with my model? Since Computer Surgeons no longer carries this media, you can use the following paths to restore your Intel-based HP Pavilion dv8000t:

1. Confirm Matrix Compatibility:

Your research is 100% correct. Part number 419025-001 is the correct Intel-based matrix disc set. Any recovery media from an Intel dv5000t, dv5100t, or dv8200t shares the same chipset and Windows XP Pro SKU architecture and will work flawlessly on your dv8000t. Avoid the AMD variants, as they will cause a blue screen on boot.

2. Check the F11 Partition:

Before hunting for discs, completely turn off the laptop, turn it back on, and repeatedly tap F11. If the original hard drive hasn't been completely wiped, this will launch the built-in HP Recovery Manager to reset the laptop to factory settings directly from the disk.

3. Clean Install via the Internet Archive:

If the partition is gone, you can perform a clean install using a generic Windows XP Pro image and the product key on your laptop's physical COA sticker.

• You can download a verified copy of the original Windows XP Pro OEM SP3 ISO on Archive.org.
• Make sure you use the OEM file variant (en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_oem_x14-72249.iso). Please note: if you accidentally use a Retail ISO, it will reject your physical laptop sticker key.
• Once Windows is installed, legacy drivers can be found archived on VOGONS Drivers or the general Internet Archive library.
