HP Pavilion x 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Pavilion x 360 which had a hinge problem causing the screen to pop and making it difficult to open when it was just still in warranty. My husband sent it to HP to fix CASE:5043421923, it took quite a long time as it had to go to Singapore and back but was fixed to a good standard. This was in Feb 2020, during the fixing time the warranty ran out, after having it back in GENTLE use for a couple of months the hinge on the other side popped and broke the screen case. Now out of warranty I am wondering what to do about getting it repaired and wonder why both hinges were not fixed when it was sent to HP for repair as this seems to be a very common design fault. I am very unhappy about this as I have really enjoyed using it but think the hinges are too flimsy to support the weight of the screen (as is evident by the number of complaints on line). I would like an option to fix it that is not too expensive and will not take over a month as it did last time or I will have to buy a new machine which will NOT be an HP for obvious reasons.

Hi @AABBY,

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

Follow the instructions below to reach them:

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.

6)Fill the web-form and proceed further.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
