Currently, I am using HP 15-da2012TU laptop. I have installed all the updates for Windows 10 including Optional Quality updates. Now, My Laptop is having a charging issue but I don't know about the exact reason for that.
First I switched off the charger after the battery fully charged (but I didn't remove the charger from the charging port).
Then I worked for some time (2 hours ) and make the laptop sleep mode since I had to start the same work after a break. But when I switched it on the charger, it was not showing me that it is charging. Then I remove the charger from the charging port and reconnect it again, which solve the problem. Sometimes, the laptop is not charging when it is in shut down.
What is the problem behind that ? How to solve it ? Is it something wrong with newly installed Windows updates since I never had this problem previously ?
( Also I'm pretty sure that my laptop battery is in good health because, it can work 3-4 hours after a full charge . Although my laptop is still in warranty period, it has passed 1.5 years which means battery and power adapter warranty has expired )

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- 1. Go to Start, search for Device Manager, and open this result.
- 2. Expand batteries.
- 3. Right-click on the ACPI option (usually the 2nd option) and select delete or uninstall. Follow the prompts.
- 4. Shut down the computer.
- 5. Disconnect the charger.
- 6. Remove the battery. (only for removable battery)
- 7. Hold down the power button for 1 minute.
- 8. Insert the battery only. (only for removable battery)
- 9. Attempt to turn the battery on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

My laptop has non-removable battery. I cannot open the back panel off the laptop as well. Then I should uninstall the drivers and shout down the laptop. After that again turn on to reinstall the power drivers. Is it correct ?
Also I have found that, the CPU rate goes high during charger is connected. Why is that ? Is there any power plan or Best Battery Performance setting to activate ? Please advice me.

Thank you for posting back.
let's try these steps:
-
Click Start, type power in the search field, and then select Power Options from the Control Panel section of the listing.

-
Choose the type of change you want to make to the power plan.

-
If you view the HP Power Plan Utility graphical display, a message indicates that the default power plan has been changed.

-
To revert to one of the default power plans, select the desired plan and then click OK or Apply.
