As to the disk size, it will handle any notebook-sized SATA drive. The current OS can be reinstalled on any drive up to 2TB in size. But to handle drives larger than that, they have to be formatted GPT and if your drive is not already formatted GPT, you would not be able to CLONE it to a new drive larger than 2TB.

Your notebook can take a maximum of 2 x 8 GB of memory for a total of 16 GB.
