I have an HP 15Q-DS0026TU laptop. Now my question is how do I know will my motherboard support M.2 SATA SSD OR M.2 NVME SSD. Sir, please tell me that Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB PCIe NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V7S500) will work fine/support my HP 15Q-DS0026TU laptop. How can I find out which Samsung SSD will support my board before buying? Thanks

Samsung Evo 970 Plus will work fine. Here is the Service Manual.
PCie/NVME M.2 are fully supported.
See pp. 2-3.

100%. An M.2 slot will accept either the 2-notch (almost all SATA) or 1 notch (almost all NVME) type of M.2 form factor drives.
The confusing thing is that even though either kind of drive fits in any M.2 slot, not all motherboards with M.2 slots can recognize and work with either type. Yours happens to be one of the ones that can accept either.

There is a link in my post above to the Service Manual. It details opening the back cover and inserting the M.2 SSD. You are also going to have to figure out how to install software on the blank M.2 drive and make it the primary boot source. We can help with that if necessary.
