I am trying to register my HP ENVY 500 Rechargeable Mouse on the HP website but the website does not recognise my serial number on the mouse.

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.

When I follow your instructions, it takes me to 2 options: Virtual Assistant or the HP Support Community (which led me to here). There are no options to speak to somebody via telephone or online chat.
