Hi guys,

I am frustrated by the continously failing attemp to open my laptop in order to change a definitely not sufficient 128 Gb SSD (not even the OS is able to run updates).

Anyway, I am trying to lift up the keyboard to get access to the motherboard and all the internal components of the notebook.

Problem is that I removed all the rubber elements covering screws, and removed the screws but the keyboard seems to be still hanged to the motherboard somewhere.

An issue might be that, as I see in this tutorial (at min 1:01) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5z6kXOcp7Y , that there are 2 central screws that (despite being the frame in the video identical to mine) are not located in my frame. It looks like they changed the design of that element as the holes are still there but there are no rubber caps.Frame back Notebook HP Pavilion x360.jpg

 Did anyone experienced this problem?

Thanks

Hi,

The 2 holes you are indicating have thin plastic screw covers on them which you can remove. Try using a razor blade and carefully pull them up from the sides.

hope it helps,

HI David, you were right. I did not realize there were those 2 plastic elements removable.

Many thanks

All solved.
