Pavilion 15-cs0002nx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My notebook have an Intel Optane memory M10 (16GB) preinstalled.

So i was trying to remove this and install an SSD on the same port. I brought a HP SSD EX900 M.2 250 GB and installed on same port.
Unfortunately my system doesn’t detected it.

i tried enabling legacy mode, then removed Optane memory and reinstalled os on HDD, but nothing worked.

is there any solution for this ?

I didn’t disabled the Optane memory.
But, i did the below steps and everything worked fine

  • Removed Optane memory
  • enabled legacy support
  • When i rebooted, it asked me to reset RAID, and i did the same
  • Reinstalled windos 10 on HDD
  • Disabled legacy support
  • Now, when i checked in dispart and disk management, ssd is detected. But before installing os in ssd, we need to convert from MBR to GPT

@Jfzl

You have to use following steps

Did you disable Optane before removing it ? You also have to remove HDD to allow system to boot on new SSD then put old HDD back later.
