I sent in my HP Pavilion in to be repaired due to booting up but having no display. It was received by HP on May 17, 2023. This, after an hour on the phone with HP (for the 3rd time), with no resolution to the problem. It was only 7 months old and still under factory warranty. Thus, I was sent a box to send it back for repair. Fast-forward 2 months later, not only do I not have my laptop back, but I cannot get anyone to tell me what is wrong with it. The initial online status stated " Possibly Beyond Economic Repair." So, it has been worked on at some point. It is still under warranty, why will HP just not replace it with a new one?
I strongly feel that if the problem were anything other than it being defective, I would have been contacted by now. Clearly the problem is with either the hardware or the operating system and should be replaced as defective. Again, It is still under warranty, why will HP just not replace it with a new one?
I am at wits end. I work from home. I cannot be without my laptop for two months! Fortunately, I have a loner desktop from the office for now. But, I do not know what to do at this point. Each time I call, I keep getting told the same thing, 'We will escalate this to the appropriate team and they will contact you in 24-48 hours.' Then, crickets.
Can anyone tell me who to contact to get this resolved? This laptop was factory built and expensive. It should not have stopped working after 7 months of use.
