Hi:

 

Yes, you can replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

 

I recommend the Western Digital Blue 2.5" SSD's which have the best performance for the price in my opinion.

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
