The HDD in my laptop is a 5200 SATA. Is it possible to replace this with a SSD drive?

Also the CPU is a 3610HQ 2.3 processor, is it possible to replace this with a faster processor?

many thanks

Russ

Hi Russ,

The most "powerfull" CPU is

Intel Quad Core i7-3840QM 2.80-GHz processor

You can see on page 88 of the service manual.

Yes, you can replace the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD of your desired brand and capacity

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/Blue-NAND-500GB-SSD-WDS500G2B0A/dp/B073SBZ8YH/ref=sr_1_13?keywords=mx500+500g...

Service manual:

Hope it helps,

David
