Purchased March 2019. A few days ago (05 Jan 2022) I was in the middle of working on a document when the laptop shut off.
On reboot, I received the message for Boot Device Not Found / Hard Disk (3F0).
System diagnostics :
Memory check - PASSED.
Hard Drive check - NO HARD DRIVE INSTALLED. PLEASE CHECK THAT THE POWER AND DATA CABLES ARE CONNECTED PROPERLY.
This means it's done for, yeah?
I'm pandemic poor so getting a new device is very much out of the question. It's out of warranty, therefore can't speak to tech support unless I pay for that.
From what I've read I should be able to replace the hard drive, but I'm having trouble finding a detailed guide on how to go about that.
Are there any other factors for the hard drive to fail, where trying to replace would not work?
Please and thanks for any guidance.

Hi @S___7
I suggest trying the troubleshooting on the HP web document at the hyperlink below.

Let me know how it goes. I can provide a YouTube video that shows how to replace the hard disk in your notebook if the troubleshooting leads to that being the fail point.
