Trying to replace SSD in my laptop which is

Intel Optaine Memory H10 HBRPEKNX0203AH 1TB

with this one

SAMSUNG 980 SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology

I tried to clone a hard drive and create and restore an image using Macrium Reflect but any time the computer starts with a new  SSD it boots to a screen with recovery options.

Is it a problem with Samsung 980 SSD compatibility or there is a trick I need to know?

I thought that the Optaine Memory could be an issue but Intel Optain Memory and Storage Management shows 27GB with status offline and the rest 954GB with status normal.

Any advice?

Hi:

Did you follow the procedure in the document below (last two sections) prior to installing removing the original SSD?

You may have to use the HP cloud recovery tool and start with a fresh install on the Samsung SSD, because the clone brought all of that particular Optane configuration along with everything else, and I don't believe the Samsung drive understands it.

Here is a link for how to use the cloud recovery tool...
