HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

I have been having an intermittent problem with my WiFi adapter.  Therefore, I would like to replace the existing internal half-height Broadcom BCM94313HMGB WiFi card in my old HP Pavilion dv6t-c600 laptop (Model A1U60AV) with some other brand.  I do not want to use an external USB WiFi adapter.

I was looking for the whitelist for my machine but apparently that is not available.  What vendor/card/model number would be compatible with my machine or the BCM94313HMGB card?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve K.

Hi, Steve:

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook.

HP PartSurfer

The list of supported Wi-Fi cards is at the bottom of the page.

Those are the only cards that have any chance of working since your PC has a BIOS whitelist and if I were you, I would find the same model/part number Wi-Fi card that is currently installed.

There is no guarantee the others, even though listed, will work.

Check on eBay and make sure you buy a Wi-Fi card where you see the actual photograph of the 'Replace with HP spare' label that references that part number.

The BIOS whitelist is unforgiving and will not accept a card of the same model without the HP part number.

Excellent - thank you very much Paul for your quick response and concern.  I will research this a bit more and keep you posted as to my results (and hopefully success).

Again, much appreciated. . .
