Elitebook 850G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have HP Elitebook 850 G3 with keyboard without backlight. I want to replace it on keyboard with backlight and have two questions:

1. How can I check if my motherboard will support keyboard with backlight? (In the sense that  the motherboard has connector with power supply for backlight).

2. If I replace keyboard on my own I  loose my warranty?

Regards,

Kilian14

Here is the Manual:

Manual

Keyboard is in the "customer accessible" part of the Manual so no problem with the warranty and all models have the connector for a backlit keyboard. Just swap in a backlit keyboard with your language layout.

See pages 50-53. What language did you need?

Thank you Huffer.

I have model with US Qwerty keyboard layout. The same keys configuration as on this photo (but without backlight).
