How much damage was there?
Is the bezel damaged?
How about the display back cover?
You will need to do a cost v. benefit analysis to decide if replacing the screen will cost more than 50% of the laptop's current value. You might decide that if the cost is more than 50% of its vale, that sourcing a laptop replacement is the better option.
A brand new laptop replacement goes for $408.78 on NewEgg.com or used for $299.00 on eBay.
