please, help.
I bought a laptop. this is the version without webcam, only the microphone module. I want to replace the microphone module with a webcam module. I want to buy a working used module from the same laptop with a compatible part number. Will my laptop work properly after the replacement? if the camera works, will the presence of the camera affect the operation of a laptop in which it was not installed at the factory?

The webcam module is available using spare part number 840722-001.

See pages 86 and 87.

 

The microphone and webcam modules fit in the same space in the display housing. They appear to use the same cable connection, although that is not well illustrated, and there is a single part number for the screen bezel so I assume the hole for the webcam is present on your laptop. Given all that, it appears to be a straight remove and replace operation and the webcam should work when installed in place of the microphone module.
