Hello,
I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xxx.
A few months ago my laptop was having trouble holding a charge, and eventually, it would rarely turn on at all. I ran a BIOS test and found that the primary battery was in poor shape and needed replacing (though I could have assumed that was the problem). I recently replaced the battery which seems to have, on the surface, solved the issue: the laptop turns on. However, it still doesn't seem to charge past 88% or hold a charge well.
I ran another check and received this message:
Battery Check: Primary - Replace (40)
Primary: Logic State - Bad Cell (40), Charge State - Not Available (45)
PRODUCT ID: 7CX33UA#ABA
FAILURE ID: U8EC8C-A4PC73-MFPU2J-CA6803
Does anyone know what this issue might be after even replacing the battery?

Hi @clk2002,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
The error indicates a Hardware issue. Since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
