Hi @Bandit89,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Spectre x360 Convertible is not powering on after a battery replacement and only shows a blinking white light. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Perform a hard power reset
Disconnect the charger and remove the new battery if it is user-accessible.
Hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds, then reconnect only the charger and try powering on.

Check battery connection and seating
Open the bottom cover again and reseat the battery connector firmly.
A slightly loose or misaligned connector will cause a blinking white LED and prevent startup.

Test with charger only (no battery)
Disconnect the battery completely and plug in the AC adapter.
Press the power button to see if the laptop powers on using AC power alone.

Verify the AC adapter and charging port
Use the original HP charger and connect it directly to a wall outlet.
Check that the charging port is not loose or damaged.

Observe the blinking light pattern
Count the number of white blinks and note if there are any pauses.
Blink patterns often indicate a power, battery, or system board detection issue.

Reset BIOS using key combination
With the laptop powered off, press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2–3 seconds.
Release the Power button but keep holding Windows + B for another 10–15 seconds, then release.

Check battery compatibility
Confirm the replacement battery is the exact model number specified for your Spectre x360.
Incompatible or non-HP-spec batteries can cause the system to refuse power-on.

Allow initial charging time
Leave the charger connected for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button.
Some systems will not start immediately after a battery replacement if the charge is very low.

I hope this helps.
