Replacement 671731-001 battery recommendation

Hey, sorry if this a weird question but does this battery work on any M6 laptop? Because mine is an m6-1125sb and the last battery I bought for my laptop wouldn’t get detected by the laptop

Compatible batteries:

(17) Battery: 9-cell, 100-Wh, 3.0-Ah, Li-ion battery 672412-001 6-cell, 62-Wh, 2.8-Ah, Li-ion battery 671731-001

If you bought a genuine HP battery with either of those part numbers and they did not work odds are the battery circuit on the motherboard is bad or, less likely by a long shot, you chanced to get a bad battery. Where did you get the battery and was it genuine?

My replaced battery was a li-ion battery, 11V DC,49Wh and its product number was HSTNN-LB3N 

also, would you perhaps have a link to where I could buy the recommended battery? I’m having a hard time trusting the cheap ones.

Yes that is a 3rd party battery. If you get one that works they are OK but the percentage of bad ones is higher for those type batteries.
