Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm replacing a bad battery in an HP-F211WM. The bad battery has on it "Replace with HP Spare 776622-001" with 10.95V

Every replacement battery I've found for HPF211WM / 776622-001 shows 14.8V. The spec's show the original battery having 3 cells. https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c04770539 I believe the 14.8V is from haivng a 4th cell.

Would using these replacement batteries cause damage?

Here are the compatible batteries from the Service Manual:

(19) Li-ion battery 4 cell, 41 Wh, 2.8 Ah 752237-001
3 cell, 31 Wh, 2.8 Ah 776622-001

Either one of these batteries would work fine for you

This is the 3 cell (above)

Above is the 4 cell.

Voltages output by the battery can vary and it is not just a function of the number of cells. The power gets changed a bit by the charging circuitry of the laptop so either the 11.1v or the 14.8v delivers the correct power stream to the motherboard of the laptop.

Easy replacement, cheap batteries; you can't go wrong.
