Product: ENVY - 17t-ae100 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am looking for a replace battery for an ENVY - 17t-ae100 CTO (Product number: 1WC57AV)

 

The HP parts store is not being cooperative in locating the replacement part.

 

Any insights?

So it would appear, which is unfortunate as 3rd-party batteries are hit-n-miss in regards to compatibility (at a minimum warning messages) and performance. 

 

I was eventually re-directed to ITPAS.com (an HP parts reseller) by HP parts to get OEM parts, like this battery, Of course the battery is 3 times the price of the Amazon "equivalents" or the eBay OEM part (my bad for not checking eBay).

HP does not sell replacement batteries very long after a model is introduced. At some point, which your laptop has reached, you have to buy from a battery seller likely online. 

 

New Original LK03XL Battery for HP Envy 17M HSTNN-UB7I L09049-1B1 916814-855 OEM | eBay
