Product: HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC

It is time to replace my laptop battery. The battery says to replace with a "HP Spare 671731-001" but I cannot find this listed on the HP Parts website. How do I find a replacement battery for my laptop? Or rather- is the "HP Spare 671731-001" the correct way to search for/identify the battery I need?

Hi,

 

If we look in service manual we see on page 46 that there are 2 compatible batteries for your PC:

 

9-cell, 100-Wh, 3.0-Ah, Li-ion battery                   672412-001

6-cell, 62-Wh, 2.8-Ah, Li-ion battery                     671731-001

It might be quite difficult to buy directly from HP. I would search with part number online and find a quality compatible battery.
