Can someone please tell me the model number for a replacement battery for my notebook?  There are too many to choose from online, and telephone support will not give me the model number.

Hi,

These are the compatible batteries for your notebook:

3-cell, 61-WHr, 5.36-WHr, Li-ion        part number 849315-856

3-cell, 41-WHr, 3.63-WHr, Li-ion        part number 849314-856

You can search online with part number.

On page 26 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the battery.

Great thanks.  Now to sound really stupid - what is the difference between the two - other than the numbers?
