My laptop is warping after 14 months - just out of warranty!! I see from other threads that this might be due to the battery swelling. I have tried through the HP website to find the part number to order a new battery. HP say it is something like a HP P106, but it's nothing like that - it's much flatter.
The HP online manual says it's a L09281-855 - the HP parts webpage says this doesn't exist. Using my product number, it lists six batteries, all of which are totally different - and none have either of the above numbers.
E-bay have about five batteries tagged with the L09281-855 number - but none of them list it as being suitable for my model, and looking at the pictures , none actually have this part number on them.
How am I actually meant to replace the battery? Any ideas as to the correct way to identify a replacement?
Thanks
