Hello! The battery in my Envy laptop is failing, and HP no longer sells replacement batteries. The original battery part number is 800009-421, and the sticker says to replace with HP Spare 800049-001. I see batteries on Amazon with that number, but the supported models listed are all Pavilions, not Envys. Nothing seems to have this particular model or product number. Any advice on the type/model of battery that should work.

@11lady The replacement battery part number would help get you the replacement, you may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
Or, alternatively If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,

@11lady The description of the product on 3rd party websites is not something I can vouch for, however, if it's the same part number & it's mentioned on the bar code, it should work, or you can return it within the return period anyway, although, if that's not what you wish to do, the easy way out, is the option to contact the Authorized service provider, as suggested before.
I hope that helps!
