HP Spectre 15-eb0000 x360 Convertible Laptop PC RCTO Base Model

I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop - 15t-eb000 touch.
It turns off the moment the power is disconnected.

I believe what I need is to replace the battery.

But how do I order a replacement battery?
It is out of warranty.

I need to make sure I am ordering a compatible battery.

What would be the exact part number or other info I need to check to make sure I am ordering the correct product?

It also says the CMOS has a bad checksum when it boots again after getting disconnected. I'm not sure if that means the CMOS battery is also dead or if it is just the regular battery.

That is the correct battery. On laptops with an internal battery the main battery also serves as the CMOS battery so replacing the main system battery should fully resolve the 2 issues you have reported. Good luck.

I think I might have found the correct battery.

I searched the laptop's product number which is 7MQ42AV on HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=7MQ42AV

It found Part Number L68299-005 Battery 6C 72Wh 3.16Ah LI BN0

I hope that's correct!

Thank you for that information. I was worried that I would have to order and install a separate CMOS battery part and that I might be ordering the wrong battery. Good to know from an expert that I'm doing the right thing and that both the main system power and the CMOS battery are handled by the same part in this model. 🙂
