Pavilion 15 notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My charger for this laptop  (740015-003) packed up and I ordered HP recommended replacement (741727-001) from an online supplier.

I have received HP 709985-001 and would like to know if this charger will be ok for my laptop ???

Difficult to get in touch with HP direct to ask the question so Forum is my last resort ?

Will work fine.

It is OK to go higher on the amps.

You just do not want to go lower than what the laptop needs.

That will cause the AC adaptor to overheat.

The one you have will work just fine.

Hi REO

Thanks for the reply

The only issue is that the charger is 19.5V ok but the charge rate is 3.3A  will this still be ok ?

Thanks a lot REO - that puts my mind at rest and should keep my Grandaughter happy for a while (it's her laptop)
