i am trying to locate a replacement mousepad for my HP ENVY Laptop, could someone maybe direct me to the replacment part on the HP website or other

Hi again,

 

Quick query, to replace the touchpad do i have to remove all the other components first? or can i follow the `touchpad replacemt page only ine the manual`

To remove the Touchpad, You have to first remove the below mentioned parts.  

 

Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.

3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

 

4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 40), and then remove the following components:

a. Service door (see Service door on page 41)

b. mSATA SSD (see mSATA SSD on page 42)

c. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 45)

d. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 52)

e. System board (see System board on page 63)

f. Front speakers (see Front speakers on page 85)

 

You will have to follow as given on the Manual Page-87
