The wifi module in my PC is not working. RTL8822BE

I want to replace it, it looks like some Intel based modules should work, but I can't find the list of supported modules for the PC. Is there one?

Please let me know what wi-fi module I could use to replace the broken Realtek. Thank you.

UPD: It looks like the one that I have is using the same antenna both for wi-fi and BT, does that mean that I can replace it ONLY with the similar module? If this is correct, is there any module that works with the same antenna, supported by my pc and better and more stable than RTL8822BE?

You're very welcome.

Since installing either card would be an experiment (you can still buy plenty of AX200s on eBay), you may as well try the AX210.

Here is the part #/SPS # you need to look for:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # / SPS # M27269-005.

There isn't any info on what other Wi-Fi cards you can install in that model series.

If your PC has a RTL8822BE Wi-Fi card it should have two antenna wires.

If you look at the parts list for a model that has a full list of parts, it shows that the antenna kit installed has two antenna wires.

The RTL8821CE is the card that works with only one antenna wire.

I looked through several models in the series at the link below and they all seem to come with the RTL8822BE.

If your PC has two antenna wires, I think a safe bet to experiment with would be this Intel card and part #/SPS #:

Thank you for such quick response, Paul!

Unfortunately, even on the video that you mentioned shows that there is only one wire coming to wi-fi adapter. Probably this is the case for that all-in-one PCs.

I will will unassemble my pc this week, when I will install new RAM modules, and I really hope that I'm wrong and it will have 2 wires and if yes, I will try to use the one that you mentioned with Intel chip.

Thanks again!

You're very welcome.

If you look at the antenna kit description and click on the camera icon to the left of the part number on the first parts link I posted, it shows that there are two antenna connectors that go to the Wi-Fi card.

The RTL8822BE was designed to run with two antenna wires.

Thanks Paul, I checked the module and you were 100% right - it has 2 antenna wires:

In this case I will try to change it to a part with Intel chip on it. Maybe you know if there is a difference in support between AX200 and AX210? I just see that AX200 is discontinued by Intel and they supply more updated AX210 instead, so I was thinking that maybe it would make sense to install the latest version of the chip.

Hello Paul,

Well I guess the experiment is a success. I uninstalled the previous Realtec drived from the system and installed the following module based on Intel AX210:

And it works perfectly. After the log in, I even got a notification that my internet speed is much faster now because it appears that I have WiFi 6 and it is supported by this module.

So to summarize, if anyone using HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-xa0059, with Diamaster FHD motherboard  has a problem with their Realtec WiFi module, RTL8822BE (2 antenna sockets, 2 antenna cables installed).

It is possible to replace it with latest Intel module:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # / SPS # M27269-005.

No errors everything works fine.

Thank you again Paul for your support, I really appreciate it!

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance and thanks for letting us know that the Intel AX210 Wi-Fi card works fine in the 27-xa0000i model series that came with the RTL8822BE Wi-Fi adapters.

Cheers,

Paul
