HP Laptop 17-CN0033DX

Looking for the correct replacement parts for a Left Shift Key. I have searched everywhere using my model number to get the right parts, and they have came back to the wrong hinges and keyboard layout. Left shift key takes two plastic hinges, one on each side with a rubber cup in the middle. All listings show a large hinge with the cup in the middle.

Also, I was unable to find out if my series is a pavilion, envy, envy 360, etc. Laptop itself does not show any series name and nor does the listing from where i bought it.

Would an old hp laptop that has the same keyboard layout (17-XX) like this one, those hinges could work as replacements?

If anyone could point me to the right replacement parts and tell me the series, that would be appreciated. Everything else with the laptop is fine, not looking to replace anything else.

This is the parts list for your laptop

https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=4A1H9UA

There are two keyboards available

The FPR is probably the way the keyboard color looks

M50458-001 would be a replacement keyboard.  Some sellers have instructions on replacing.

If you go here and click on "see the list of HP products"

https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=M50458-001

you will get a list of models that use that keyboard

Send that picture to that laptop key replacement and see if they can figure it out.  They should know what key to use.

This company seems ok

https://laptopkey.com/hp-envy-x360-17-cn-silver-laptop-keyboard-key-replacement/

they have videos on how to identify and replace the key and you can ask for help.

I have not bought from them but I have replaced key "tops" where the print wore off.

Your product ID and serial should be on a label like this

alternately, run the HP support assistant

I found the model but still no series. That was one of the websites I was looking at but however its not the same keyboard nor is it the same hinges. Here are a few pictures to get an idea what ive been dealing with.

As you see, the laptop itself has no series model on it and the link has 1 hinge for a large key instead of the 2 hinges which mine needs. I have been at this for a few days and I have been unable to find anything.

At this point if anyone can confirm using hinges from the same model group, ill just order one similar and give it a whirl.
