Replacement top cover for HP ENVY x360

Hi,

Due to an accident involving a cup of coffee and my laptop I need to replace the top cover for my HP ENVY x360.

I am positive that it is only the keyboard that is damaged as the laptop works well otherwise. At the moment I am using a bluetooth connected keyboard and it works fine.

However, I want to fix this problem by replacing the top cover but cannot find where to buy this part. 

I found this article https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04346385 on how to replace the top cover so it should be possible, but I can't find anywhere to order the top cover.

In short: Where can I buy a top cover for a HP ENVY 15-u005no x360 Convertible PC?

Hi,

I do not know what country you are in. However if you look on page 30 of service manual you can see the various top covers for your model, the difference is the keyboard layout. So, for example if I want to replace the top cover in the U.S.A. th part number 774608-001

Now I can serach for the part in HP parts store "U.S." or use the part number to perform a search online

I am in Sweden. However, it seems hard to find a top cover with the Scandinavian keyboard layout. This might be a silly question, but does it matter if I buy a top cover with an american keyboard layout? Besides the obvious difference, will it be compatible? I assume it will be but I want to be sure before I spend any money 🙂

Yes all the keyboard will be compatible with PC but will have different layout of keyboard. I do not see a scandinavian keyboard in the list.

Once you install the new keyboard, for example USA you will need to set it also in Windows by adding new input language, this way all the keys will be the ones you see on the keyboard
