Hello,
I have a rather old HP Specter x360 (purchased from here). I think it has the charger usb c type. Last year, it started having difficulty charging so I would have to wiggle the charger around to find a certain position in which it would charge. I had to purchase a new charger because I thought the charger was the problem. It turns out it wasn’t, I think the issue is that the charger port jack (unsure of what it is called). I’ve read online that it is an old model issue as the newer models of the laptop dont have the same charger port type. Now, it no longer charges no matter how much I wiggle the charger. I would like to have it replaced as I really enjoy this laptop and all of my information is still stored on it!
Is it possible to get it repaired? How much might it cost and how long would it take? I am not sure who to contact in my area to get it fixed.
Thank you.

It's not that old. 2 years maximum. There are two USB-C ports on the right side either of which is able to accept an incoming charge. Have you tried both ports?
See p. 4 "right side".
These ports are part of the motherboard so if the ports are both damaged you would need to have the motherboard replaced which is going to be at least $500 maybe more.
Do you have any USB-C device other than the AC adapter? We are going to need to have you run a diagnostic test on the USB ports and you will need to have something to plug in. Did the laptop ship with a USB-C to regular USB port adapter? If so you can use a thumb drive or something to test each port.
Post back if you want help with diagnostics.
