Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, you're in need of support,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Do you wish to replace or add an extra RAM?

As per the specification, it looks like RAM that you have mentioned should work on your notebook but I would still suggest you check locally before you replace or upgrade the RAM to avoid compatibility issues.

Part numbers of the RAM which have been tested on your notebooks are as mentioned below:

4 GB memory module (PC3, 12800, 1600-MHz) 691740-001

2 GB memory module (PC3, 12800, 1600-MHz) 691739-001

8 GB memory module PC3L 12800 1600Mhz Shared 693374-001

8 GB memory module PC3 12800 1600Mhz Shared 670034-001

For more information, you could refer to the Maintenance and Service guide for your notebook: Click here (Page number: 47)

Hope this helps,

Cheers!
