My Pc uses 4 gb ram ddr3 pc3l 12800U and its brand is Sk Hynix. I've been using my it for 5 years now and I've been thinking for an upgrade. My pc has 2 memory slots and can support up to 16 gb ram.
Can I add a 8 gb ram with the same brand, type, frequency, etc. together with my existing 4 gb?
Or can I replace Sk hynix with a different brand that is compatible with my pc? E.g. Remove my Sk Hyunix 4 gb ram and replace it with 2 pieces of Crucial 4gb ram
