I need to replace the fan on my laptop, but the provided instructions on the HP site for the x360 Convertible laptops uses a model that doesn't quite have the same features as this machine does. I need to remove the fan from it without taking out the whole heat sink assembly, as the maintenance manual might also suggest. There's also a cell battery in the cable that connects the fan to the system board, which doesn't appear in the aforementioned instructions.
So, how do I remove this fan? I wanna buy this replacement fan I found for the exact model (13-s128nr), which is only the fan -- and not the whole fan+heatsink assembly that the maintenance manual might suggest, and this replacement fan has no in-line cell battery -- and use it to replace my existing one.
Really just a very unaddressed situation that I need advice for...

@JelloRoot Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you would like to replace the fan.
I understand your concerns.
The Fan is not a user-replaceable part. In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and heck for the support option. They will help you.
Or you can contact the local service center for replacement.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
