Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello to anyone who can help,

I just have a simple question, is it possible to replace the CPU in a HP17-Ca0003na with a more powerful processor? Or is it fixed to the board? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi:

The processor your notebook has is an integral part of the motherboard.

In order to upgrade the processor, the motherboard would have to be replaced with one listed in the service manual that may come with a better processor.  The same holds true for the graphics adapter.

You may also need to purchase a different heatsink.

Below is the link to the service manual.  The supported motherboards can be found in chapter 3.
