Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop had a battery (model JC03) with a voltage of 10.95V, can I replace it with the same one with a voltage of 14.4V?

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Enter the product number of your notebook in the search window at the link below and it should provide you with the battery part number and description your notebook uses:

 

HP PartSurfer

 

The service manual lists two different battery part numbers, so I don't know which one your 255 G6's product number uses.

 

HP 255 G6 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

The 4-cell battery probably just lasts longer between charges.

 

I don't recommend that you use a battery with a different voltage.
