Dear Support Team,
I purchased the HP USB C 9 in 1 HUB about a month ago, and recently I’ve been experiencing issues with its functionality. The ports sometimes connect properly, and other times they don’t.
I recorded a 49-minute video demonstrating this issue, where you can observe that my voice cuts out intermittently, which might suggest a microphone issue. However, this is not the case, as I also connected my Pen Tablet, and it too sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
Based on these observations, it’s clear that the problem lies with the USB HUB. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
BHUPENDER SINGH

Hi @Bhupii_19,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here’s a structured troubleshooting guide you can follow for your HP USB C 9 in 1 HUB issues:
Troubleshooting Steps for HP USB C 9 in 1 HUB
Check Connections:
- Ensure that the HUB is securely connected to your USB-C port.
- Disconnect and reconnect the HUB to see if the connection stabilizes.
Test with Different Devices:
- Try connecting the HUB to another computer or device to see if the issue persists. This helps determine if the problem is with the HUB or the original device.
Use Different Ports:
- If your device has multiple USB-C ports, try using a different port to see if that resolves the issue.
Update Drivers:
- Ensure that your operating system and drivers are up to date. Check for any firmware updates for the HUB through the HP website.
Check for Overheating:
- Make sure the HUB is not overheating. Excessive heat can cause performance issues. Let it cool down if it feels hot to the touch.
Test Individual Ports:
- Connect devices to each port on the HUB one at a time to see if a specific port is causing issues.
Inspect Cables:
- If you’re using external devices, ensure their cables are not damaged. Try using different cables to rule out cable issues.
Reset the Device:
- Restart your computer to refresh all connections and settings.
Check Power Requirements:
- If you’re using power-intensive devices (like external drives), ensure that the HUB is capable of providing enough power or connect it to a power source if it has that option.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
