Hi Team,

I purchased my laptop in September 2020 and availed the HP Beat the Odds Offer, which includes a 1+2 Year Extended Warranty and Protegent Antivirus. According to this offer, my warranty should be valid from September 2020 to September 2023. However, the warranty information displayed in the HP Support Assistant is incorrect. I have also raised the dispute for warranty, but no update was received.

Today, on June 3, 2023, I noticed that my laptop has developed a swelling near the touchpad. I took the laptop to the HP dealer from whom I made the purchase, and they informed me that the battery has swollen, causing the bump near the touchpad. They suggested replacing the battery but were unsure about the warranty coverage. When I mentioned the incorrect warranty information, they advised me to visit the service center.

At the service center, I was informed that they are unable to assist me with the warranty issue and advised me to contact the toll-free number for further clarification.

I am seeking guidance on how to proceed in this situation. According to the documentation, laptops with non-removable batteries should be covered under the warranty. However, both the dealer and service center have been unable to provide clear information.

I kindly request your help and advice on the next steps I should take to address this matter effectively.
