Omen 15-cd0031np
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good morning,

Problem: HP Omen 15-cd0031np with BIOS protected by admin password. I need to access the BIOS. Unfortunately it is password protected.

Data: I bought the HP Omen 15-cd0031np laptop 3 years ago (out of warranty) and I don't remember having set this password at any time. At the time I bought it at a shop in Lisbon. I need to enable "Virtualization" in the BIOS to be able to run Docker Desktop on Windows.

I put 4 photos to show the status of this:
https://ibb.co/xLN4RPC - menu screen (F10 to enter the BIOS)
https://ibb.co/VQX0kwM - password request
https://ibb.co/j67nPYF - screen after 3 attempts
https://ibb.co/fYWYjXC - temporary battery removal

Search so far:
- I called HP and they say that they would never put a password like this and that the solution is to buy a new motherboard (no way, dear!)
- I saw online (and opened the computer to see) that there is no CMOS battery built into the motherboard and that it is powered by the main battery. I tried to take it out for 30 minutes to see if the password request disappeared. Nothing.
- I tried back door passwords that can be the manufacturer's default. In this case the BIOS is an AMI F.15

Thanks in advance for the availability,
Pedro Caetano
