15s laptops

I'm thinking of buying a 15s, Intel i5, 16/512gb. So will i be able to expand the SSD in future? I'm asking because right now there is no 16gb/1Tb SSD option available. So I would better go for 16/512gb SSD option as I think I could upgrade later. Please tell me if I'm wrong and should I buy the other one which is 8/1Tb SSD (I want 16gb Ram only)

You can upgrade 512GB of M.2 SSD to 1TB or 2TB or 4TB at a later date.

So I should buy the 16 gb Ram 512 SSD right instead of 8 gb ram 1Tb SSD ?
