HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ae010nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

Following up on the thread: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Spectre-13-x360-ae008nc-rubber...

I've been unable to reach HP to get this issue sorted. By now, with my laptop, the rubber strips have completely peeled off and I can't really stick them back on again either. If any HP rep has a solution I'd be much obliged.

The HP part numbers below this sentence are what you should search for in an online search engine. These part numbers are from the illustrated parts list in the maintenance guide for your notebook.

Rubber feet

  natural silver   942847-001

Thanks, Erico, but the issue is not the parts numbers. In The Netherlands there is no company or shop that carries these items at a reasonable price. HP's own PartSurfer can't supply them either. Neither do Amazon or AliExpress. Besides, this is a clear-cut case of HP's production problems.

These feet started peeling off long before warranty expired. And considering the amount of threads in this forum, it's obvious it's a known issue for HP too:

I think HP should take responsibility and send all us customers a replacement set of feet. The Spectre x360 13-inch convertible was a whopping 2000 EURO laptop. It would befit the brand and the company to not screw over customers willing to pay upwards of 2K for a device like that, and show a little customer service once in a while.

Same issue as the one you experienced, have you found any solution?
