HP255 G8

Does anyone know about teh SATA board needed to upgrade an HP255 G8 to take a SATA drive. This model is supposed to take two drives, there is space for a second drive, the specs sheet tells me it can have two drives but..... no connector.

It seems it needs a part L52024-001 but this is not available at all, has anyone else run into this?

Yes, the series supports dual storage options.  Its Maintenance and Service Guide:

Page 30 indicates you definitely need  Hard drive cable part # L52025-001. You can order from

May well be listed but the part is not available, anywhere, at all, ever. That and it really is a poke in the eye to pay so much for a part that should essentially be part of the machine.
