Operating System: Linux

Hi,

i have change the default HDD drive to Samsung SSD evo 860 before change the HDD drive when i run this code

 

sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep 

SATA Version is: SATA 3.1, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 6.0 Gb/s)

 

but after changing to SSD the result changed to:

 

sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda | grep

SATA Version is: SATA 3.1, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 3.0 Gb/s)

 

why my SATA speed downgared ? how can i change it to 6 Gb/s ?

Is it a 2.5 inch SSD or M.2? Linux distribution?

yes it's 2.5 inch and ubuntu 18.04

Have you tried manually TRIM'ing it?

i read that article and do triming my SSD but nothing changed
