I have been having issues with the SD card reader on my Envy laptop for a few years now.
It seems to happen after a Windows update.
But this morning I popped an SD card into the reader and it didn't detect it.
When I go to the Device Manager the "Memory Technology Devices" listing is missing.
I tried downloading and installing as many Realtek drivers as I can find from here, but there aren't any listed for Windows 11.
After going into the Bios and looking for anything related to the SD card reader, the card reader started working again.
I'm not sure if they are related or not.
1. Can anybody recommend an updated driver for the SD card reader that's Win 11 compatible?
2. Is there a better way to solve this next time it happens?
Thanks!
