SD Card

I am a photo hobbyist. I have a Nikon D850 camera.  The Nikon D850 uses SanDisk cards when saving images. I remove the SD card and slide the SD card into my HP laptop.

I just purchased a new HP Spectre x360 to replace my old HP. The D850 SD cards do NOT fit in the new HP laptop. 

Is there a solution? I don't see anywhere on my Nikon where a smaller SD card would work that is compatible to my new HP x360. If this cannot be resolved, I may need to return the new laptop. My hope was to use this new laptop solely for my photography work.

Your Nikon uses standard (size) SD cards and your Spectre has microSD card reader. You can't put SD cards to microSD slot, they PHYSICALLY won't fit. There are few options,

1. Use microSD cards for your Nikon: You can put microSD cards to an adapter and your Nikon will work fine (I'm using this option for my Nikon). I bought Samsung products for my phones and tablets because Samsung includes an adapter on each card.

              

(You can ignore the switch).

Option 2. Use a multi formats external Card reader: I also have an Epraizer card reader because some of my computers don't have card reader all (for example HP Elitebook 840 machines). There are many other bands around, you can buy a better one, my card reader only has UBB 2.0 speed. For example
