Product: HP Pavilion g6-2129nr Notebook PC

I installed Windows 10 on this notebook (with a lot of difficulty) and it now works fine except for the SD card reader. I spoke to Microsoft who said the BIOS needs to be upgraded. (They say there is a 2022 update.) HP no longer supports the notebook so I don't know how to get the BIOS upgrade, and anyway I am concerned that it would break other things or even crash the system since it's an old computer. What should I do? I need the SD card reader for photo and video transfers.

I suggest that you install the W10 Realtek card reader driver.
